Wake up! Wake up!
Those trepidations you feel, well, they aren’t what you think. It is your capacity for deep thought, deep caring, deep love that have rooted you so. These roots have strength enough to hold you through the wildest of storms. These roots have strength enough to hold your hopes, dreams and ambitions too.
Wake up! Wake up!
Crawl from your den. Stretch, yawn, rub your eyes.
Wake up!
There is wonderment to be had. Exploration. It is time to shed your heavy winter coat.
Get up!
Get going!
Eat. Play. Learn. Your roots will hold you.
Channeled message from Edgar Albert Guest, 1881-1959. (A message for my daughter, Gracie.) Known as the People’s Poet, Edgar’s poems were inspirational and optimistic of everyday life. Publishing over 11,000 poems (Most poems were 14 lines long), his message is “What Counts”. It’s not the money, power or fame that count. It’s finding joy in the small things and the memories we create with the people we love.
