Anchor

The Drifting Anchor

I’m in a river, underneath the water holding an anchor. It is attached to a pontoon boat on the surface. I can’t find anything to snag the anchor on so the boat keeps drifting in the swift current.

The people on the boat are laughing and having a great time, I don’t know them. They don’t know I’m here. I am angry and frustrated.

The fast moving water is crystal clear. I see trees above the water and trees below. Now the water is too deep to set the heavy anchor. The boat drifts.
