I woke up today with a charley horse in my calf. The last time that happened I talked to my calf. I said, “I love you” and my calf magically relaxed. Genius, I know. This whole loving self talk really works!
I look in the mirror and tell my beautiful reflection that I love her, she’s amazing. I talk to my stomach during my windshield wipers in yoga class. I say, “Thank you for my children, thank you for your support. I love you.” .
So, here I am again. Intense pain, my calf cramped up. I say, “I love you.” Nothing. I say, “I love you, I love you, I love you.”. Nothing.
Then, I hear…Show me. I know exactly what that means too. It begs to question, if you love me so much, why aren’t you taking better care of me? OK, I get it. I’ll do better.
