Morrie Schwartz on the testament of Character

All will not have this testimony to share. They have stifled their own evolution. Reasons why? There are many. Comfort, fear of the unfamiliar, anger. Oh, let me tell you, anger is a big one. Anger, hate, unforgiveness will stunt your growth. I know, I know. Yes, it is sad.

We are all given eyes to see, ears to hear. The messages and the opportunities are always around us. It is by choice to live in suffrage. It is a mindset. Why do we waste so much time in deference to our truest hearts desires?

Love and connection, that’s it in a nutshell. Talk to one another and actually listen. Invest your time and attention in service to another. Let your barriers fall away. You will quickly find out if they are for you or if you simply wish them well and be on your way.

Every person, every experience is for you to learn from. Examine this. Ask; What is this showing me? Be intrigued.

This is your life. This is your chance to build and stand on your character, your integrity. Join the club, the club of you. Get involved, get invested. Live in testament. Live in the truth that your heart speaks. People will feel this, even if they don’t know why. They will just know you are different than most. This is true authenticity of spirit and that my friend is a gift to behold.

Channeled message form Morrie Schwartz. My daughter’s English class is reading Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man and Life’s Greatest Lesson. The book was written by Mitch Albom, a former student of Morrie’s at Brandeis University. Schwartz was a sociology professor. The book chronicles 14 visits from his former student Mitch while Morrie was dying from ALS. My daughters question for Morrie was for him to explain himself as a person as this is her next assignment. His response… ‘Invested. Involved. Intrigued. I always knew that this life was a gift, a gift to be shared.’
