Hard Edges

Looks can be deceiving. Yes, they can. Haven’t we all learned that lesson a time or two or three. How quickly we forget. Not all is as it seems, it’s true.

Why do we hide our vulnerability? Why do we put on these facades? Ain’t you tired? Well, ain’t you?

Be you. Be your own kind of amazing and throw the cookie cutters out. Oh, you have wrinkles? Time on your face? That is your laughter, your sorrow and everything in between. It’s beautiful, you are beautiful. Gray hair, frizzy hair, no hair? Go Einstein Go! Embrace it. You are uniquely you, stop hiding it.

Are you steeped in this world’s negativity, the glass is always empty? Ain’t you thirsty? Well, ain’t you?

Drink. Drink from the earthen well lined in hardened clay, laden in minerals. Let the earth give you hydration and nourishment on a cellular level.

Dig deep. What needs to come to the surface? Dig deep. Bring out the shovel if need be and get to work. Dig. Heave ho. Let go. Unburden. Release.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Drop your shoulders. Close your eyes. Breathe in. Breathe out. Release.

Be you. You do you. Allow others the opportunity to see your true personality. Live in authenticity, this is the true form of perfection. Be you, beautiful you.
