Delusional Love

‘It’s me, Marilyn.’

You’re speaking so softly. Marilyn Monroe? ‘Yes.’

I talked with Joe DiMaggio yesterday, I felt your energy with him. ‘Yes, I know.’ (She smiles.)

Do you have a message you would like to share this morning? ‘I do.’

Go ahead please, I’m excited to talk with you. ‘The mastery of love, no, that’s not it. Delusional Love. Yes, that’s it. That’s the name of my story.’

‘Sometimes we want things so bad that we will do anything to get it. Anything. We pretend that we have all the power, all the confidence, that we choose who gets to use us, abuse us. “Play along kid” they say. “You’ll go far” if you know how to play the game. Careful now, don’t mark up those pretty knees of yours. Here, over here on the soft rug, you’ll be more comfortable.

I wanted to be rich and famous, those stars in my eyes were so big.

The men never forget either. See them out with their wives and they always give you that damn wink that says we have a dirty little secret. It sent shivers up my spine every time.’

There were other affairs that you chose to engage in. I promise I’m not judging you. John and Bobby Kennedy were both married. ‘Oh my. Try to say no to those two. They just oozed sex appeal.’

How did the affairs start? ‘They wanted to meet me at the White House. It’s definitely a power trip when you are being summoned by the President of the United States.’

They cut ties with you? ‘Jackie made sure of that.’

How? ‘Jackie and Ethel went to Joe Kennedy.’

Did you ever or were you involved in government espionage? ‘Only once. Sam Giancana. So, now you know. Joe Kennedy told Sam to get rid of me.’

Was Robert Kennedy going after Sam? ‘Yes.’

I’m sorry your life was cut so short. ‘Well, that was the trade off right. Young and famous forever. I would have never wanted to get old.’

Were you and Joe DiMaggio going to remarry? ‘I was considering it. He wanted me out of the spotlight though. Imagine that, he wanted me to give up everything. He couldn’t stand other men looking at me. I loved him though, loved him madly.’

What was the greatest lesson you learned? ‘Oh, I don’t know. Those were the times back then. Pay to play and I ever so badly wanted to play.’

What were you supposed to learn in that lifetime? ‘Well, I, I really don’t know.’

You definitely left your mark on the world! ‘I did, didn’t I.’

Yes, you did. Is there anything else you wish to share before I go? ‘You don’t have to be used to be loved. It doesn’t feel good, it hurts bone deep. So, I guess it starts with you loving yourself enough to not allow that other stuff to happen. Want more than that.’

Did you know that Joe DiMaggio put roses on your grave three days a week for twenty years? ‘I do. Pink Roses of Sharon were my absolute favorites but Joe always said his love was deeper than that so he always gave me the red ones. I loved those too. Joe, sweet, sensitive Joe.’ (She sighs.)

Thank you Marilyn. I wish for you to have peace, love and happiness. (She blows me a big double kiss with both hands. Then she stretches her arms out wide with a big show girl smile on her face!)

Channeled message from Marilyn Monroe, the “blonde bombshell”. Norma Jean Mortenson was born in Los Angeles, California June 1st, 1926. She spent most of her childhood in foster homes where she may have been sexually abused and an orphanage. Her mother was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Marilyn straightened her curly hair and dyed her brown hair platinum blonde and began her career as a pin-up model appearing on 33 magazine covers. The iconic, American top-billed actress became the most popular sex symbol of the 1950’s and early 1960’s. Her nude pictures were used in the centerfold and on the cover of the first issue of Playboy. Marilyn, who excelled at writing, founded her own film production company with her friend Milton Greene in 1954. She was found dead in her home on August 4, 1962 at just 36 yrs. old. Monroe’s cause of death was from acute barbiturate poisoning. What do you think? Was her death an accident, suicide or a murder made to look like a suicide?
