Perfect Contemplation

It’s nice isn’t it, taking in the sun. Letting your thoughts dangle without any attachment.

Let’s play, dream a little dream. Where would you like to go? Anywhere at all? Now, how are you going to get there? It could even be on the back of a giant bird. Have fun with it. It is your creation after all. Egypt, Spain, Tahiti? Hey, I know, go to all three!

No limits, no exclusions. Cliche, I’ll say it anyway… The world is your oyster!

Channeled message from Adam Lindsay Gordon (1833-1870). He was a British-born Australian poet, jockey and politician. Adam’s poetry was known as the “Galloping Rhymes” famous for capturing the energy of horse racing and life in the Australian bush. (Queen Victoria loved his work.) Adam and his wife, Margaret lost their 11 month old daughter, Annie Lindsay in 1867. (They share the same grave.) In 1868 and 1870 he was seriously injured in riding accidents, the latter one he suffered a head injury that he never recovered from. Suffering from chronic pain and deep depression, he soberly took his own life one day after he published his third book of poetry, “Bush Ballads and Galloping Rhyme”, he was 36 years old.

His soul is at peace, his message was clear. ‘Life is what you make it. Go all in, enjoy the ride.’

The Poet Gordon

Question not, but live and labour,

Til yon goal be won,

Helping every feeble neighbor,

Seeking help from none.

Life is mostly froth and bubble;

Two things stand like stone-

Kindness in another’s trouble,

Courage in your own.
