Why would the energy still be connected to the body when the soul is no longer present? ‘It is of the memory. A piece of consciousness that remains threaded through your story.’
Who is speaking please? ‘Albert my dear, as you already knew.’
I did when I asked and I did think you would be the one to answer my question. You’ve been waiting for me to ask? ‘Well, yes. I love these opportunities to lead others into understanding.’
Class is in session! ‘Yes! Exactly!’
Is it the DNA left behind? ‘Yes but it is more than that. Say, the headstone with the names inscribed. These are all imprints, see, memories. Copied images and insights. Every instance of every life has a record of consciousness. This is referred to as the Akashic Records.’
Why is that? ‘Let me see…’
Are we stumped on that one? ‘No. I just want to explain it in a way that you will understand it.’
Sorry I doubted you. ‘I know you didn’t, you were just teasing.‘ Yes, you’re right.
‘There is a field of knowledge. Think of this as say, the Milky Way. The Universe, space, is consciousness, all consciousness which is information in itself of the collective of all that is. Then there is this separate but still connected galaxy, the Milky Way for example that is the Akashic Field. This field holds the stories fall of creation, all lives. Your soul, which encapsulates all of your lives is one star in the Milky Way among billions and billions of other stars.’
How is this knowledge useful to us now in this lifetime? ‘Well, some of it is and some of it isn’t. Think of your trash. Some is thrown out because you don’t need it anymore, it is no longer useful. It is still there but you don’t need it, you’ve completed that cycle or lesson if you will. Then there is the recycle bin. Some bins are full of the same thing that keeps getting recycled over and over again. This is the part of the Akashic Records that are useful to you in this lifetime. This is what is called a loop. I call it the “sticky circle”. You can’t get out of it until you see that you are in it. It’s like a horse with the blinders on only one eye, going round in circles.’
How do we get the information we need to get out of the loop? ‘Pay attention in class! (Albert laughs!) The answers are all around you all the time. Ask questions, verbally, mentally or written down then take a nap! (He laughs.) Well, that was how I did it. Go for a walk, do your chores, anything that will allow some quiet time. The answers will come but you have to allow yourself the opportunity to recognize it.’
Albert! I always want to go to sleep when I talk to you. ‘I’m a big deal! (He laughs.) It’s the energy differential. Breathe. Bring in your deep breathing, close your eyes and find your center.’ I feel that, it connects my whole body not just my head and heart. ‘That’s right. Mind, body, soul, it’s a balance.’
I have one more question please. We choose what lessons we want to learn in each lifetime but who chooses how we learn those lessons? ‘I’m handing over the baton on that one.’ Thank you Albert, it’s always a pleasure to speak with you!

So, who chooses the “how” we learn these life lessons? Like a child dying of cancer? ‘That all depends on many things. A death from disease most times will involve many lives. The traumatic death has the biggest impact leading to huge spiritual jumps of learning and understanding that elevate them on the soul level. So to answer the question, the soul chooses “death by trauma”. The exact trauma; Think of it as a sort of lottery system.’
