It is an action word. More than that though, it is a calling, a pulling at your heart, your throat, your guts. It draws you in like the hot fire after you’ve come in out of the cold.
Service.
To serve in-depth.
To be invested.
Servitude.
What one might call a coincidence is nothing of the sort. You yourself have left a trail of breadcrumbs along your path. You see, this is what they call destiny. When the stars align just right and everything seems to fall into place like it was meant to be, it was destined or should I say divined.
Purpose.
Intentioned action.
Reason for living.
Purposeful.
We all have a part to play, a role that we choose before we take our very first breath. Some play bigger parts than others, but don’t think for a second that one is more important than the next.
It is true. We are all one. We are all connected into one weave, one glorious, elaborately detailed, quilted fabric.
Sometimes this blanket gets soiled and dingy, needs a wash. Isn’t that blanket heavy when it’s wet! Oh my, you can hardly lift it to put it on the line, the blanket almost touches the ground as the clothes line bends.
This is how our spirits become when we hold onto old hurts. When we keep playing the same old story again and again. Let it air out. Give it to the wind. Let it go.
If you feel your purpose is to serve then find a way to serve. Start small, find what brings you joy. It could be that smile on your face, the courteous hold of the door or even a nod of acknowledgement to another. You will know if you are meant to do more, you will feel it.
Look around for those bread crumbs. I promise you they are right where you left them.
Channeled message from Pope Pius IX. Giovanni Maria Mastai-Ferretti was born May 13, 1792 in Senigallia, Italy. He was the longest reigning pope in history, serving the Catholic Church for 32 years, he died at 85 on February 7, 1878 at the Apostic Palace in Vatican City from an epileptic seizure and a sudden heart attack. The Holy Father took responsibility for Anna Maria Bentivoglio and her two sisters after the death of their parents, she is also known as Mother Magdalena. You should read her message on my blog, it’s good. Pius was also a patron of the arts, much of his efforts went to renovate and improve churches in Rome and Papal States, he also ordered the strengthening of the crumbling Colosseum. In 1853, Pope Pius IX created a new archaeological commission to excavate the Christian Catacombs of Rome. The Holy Father ended our conversation with; “We will talk about reckoning next time my dear child.”
