Service. Service to self. Service to others. What does this mean? Sacrifice? Denial of comfort? Maybe for one if chosen.
Do you choose this path? Yes, it is true, I chose a life of service. I chose a life of discomfort. This life though seemingly simple was more difficult and at times even treacherous.
In the beginning, when you are young, it is safety and security. Protection from the darkness of this world. Overtime it becomes a sacred gift. You learn to live in love, pure love. You learn to share this love through a thought, a glance, a touch.
It is something to behold when your light touches another’s life to bring about their well-being. However, my service does not need to be your service. Every life, every lifetime is an individuals choice. Their purpose is of their own choosing.
There are some who know their path early on and never sway. Others have a more difficult time. Both paths are equally powerful. Both paths are met as intended. One must allow for sufficient time alone. Whether that be in prayer, meditation, in nature or any activity that allows you to quiet and slow the minds constant bombardment of thoughts.
You must slow down. Slow your mind, slow your breath, slow your body. Your spirit has always spoken to you. Your spirit has always tried to guide you to your chosen path. It is only that one cannot hear, see or receive unless they are in a place of receptivity, a place of allowance.
Often it is the thought that comes in when you are not in active thought. Your first reflex is to say, “Wait, did I do that?” When you have this question, it is likely your message from your spirit, your angels or guides. What is this message? Does it have reverence? How do you feel when you receive it? Go grab a pen and write it down. Go ahead and ask a question, see what comes. Set your intensions, “I will only allow love and light to guide me.”
Love thy neighbor as best you can. Show care, show compassion in this world where so many are in need and the divide expansive. When you allow yourself the opportunity to live in grace your way is revealed one layer at a time. It is the onion peeled back layer by layer and yes, there are tears at times too.
These tears are clarifiers. These tears wash away the old making way for the new, let them flow.
Channeled message from the Venerable Sister Mary Magdalena of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Anna Bentivoglio. Born in Lazio, Italy in 1824. An Italian Poor Clare nun who founded the first convent in the US. Her last foundation was in Evansville, Indiana in 1897. Her father became a Governor in Rome and her mother was an aristocrat of French descent. Bentivoglio was a beautiful, independent woman at the time of her father’s death and then her mother’s death nine years later. Pope Pius IX took responsibility for her and her two remaining unwed sisters, Constanza and Matilda. The women were placed in a monastery for the sake of propriety. They committed to strict poverty and entered the convent of San Lorenzo in Panisperna, the first Poor Clare monastery in the City of Rome. Mother Magdalen died in 1905 at the age of 81 in Evansville, Indiana.
