The Race

Up and running. Why so fast? Where is this urgency coming from? Is it a competition, a way to keep score of wins and losses. Is it fear? Fear of time dwindling down. Perhaps it is your way of keeping others at arms length.

You stay at a steady pace of disconnection, only to skim the surface. Have you ever wondered why? Why have you found this to be of service to you? You do not need to be swamped, overwhelmed and overworked to be successful. You don’t ever need success to succeed.

The truest measure of any achievement is in the aftermath. How do you feel when the sun is setting? Who are you sharing your wins with. Who is on your team, do they have your back? Do you have theirs?

Remember why you are here in this life, playing this role. Connect, learn, love, rejoice. Dive deep into your relationships, your passions, your desires. You don’t have to always be the first. You don’t always have to be the best. All of this comes at a cost. There is always a trade off.

Thank you Amelia. You are still famous, we still talk about you. Isn’t that success? ‘This admiration is not grounded in love, there are no roots. There is no-one left who knows the true essence of who I am. In all honesty, no-one truly ever did know this. I had bigger goals and aspirations to attend to.’

Couldn’t you have had both, goals and connection? ‘I did not allow the time for this. My ambitions consumed my every thought.’

Slow down. Find your peace and your stride will fall into place. Enjoy time with others, be the friend that you yourself are in most need of. Let love in. Cradle this love. Honor this love. Slow and easy still wins the race. This win though has a steady breath and a peaceful heart.

Channeled message from Amelia Earhart. At age 39, Amelia and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean in an attempt to become the first woman to complete a circumnavigational flight round-the-world. She had marriage of convenience and did not have children. She pioneered women’s rights, was an avid writer of two books and many articles among many other accomplishments.
