Love in Anguish

There is no disguise for profound loss of love. It threatens to crumble even the strongest of foundations. Memory loss would surely remedy this but what then? Live a life of the non-feeling, the disconnected? A life of meaningless diatribe, why bother at all. What is the point of this endless druther?

Oh, but love. Love, the highest of peaks, the lowest of valleys. The sun kissed field of flowers to the lurid, stank of the rotting swamp. Yes, love can break you, leave you shattered. Yes, love can pound your heart into oblivion. The anguish is real.

The anguish is power. For only a powerful being collects such broken shards. Piece by piece. Day by day. Week by week. Month by month. The greater the love, the greater the loss.

Take the love. Relish it, delight in it. Do not count the cost. Expand your heart. Grow through the love. Grow through the grief. Allow yourself time for healing. Time for remembrance.

Begin to look outside of yourself, look outside of your pain. Look to the smallest of the small and the largest of the large. What do you see? What have you not taken the time to notice before now? When the anguish falls away, you will see. The love will always be.
