Deja vu

Last spring, my son listed his boat for sale on FB Marketplace. He had several people interested in the boat. One guy was thinking it over, another fell off the face of the earth and then there was Brian.

Unbeknownst to me, my son set a time for Brian to come over to our house to look at the boat. I was headed home from the grocery store when I get an alert on my Ring Door Camera. There was a car in my driveway. I was expecting an important package so I rushed home.

My son had dropped the ball, completely forgetting he was meeting with Brian.

I did my best to answer Brians questions. The boat was perfect for him and cash was in hand. I let it go for $500 less than asking even though he offered more. Let’s just say he had good energy, he was a really nice guy.

Later that day he told my son I was the G, I’m pretty sure that means great or super cool or the best ever. My husband and son met Brian a couple days later to transfer the title. My husband saw the first three numbers on Brians new plates and had a moment of deja vu.

Later that night, my husband mentioned the experience to me.  I’ve always thought as Deja Vu as the Universe telling you that you are exactly where you are meant to be. So, I text Brian; Hey, weird question…

Brian returned my text with, 3305 then replied, “Not gonna lie, I almost felt like I had met your son and husband before. So, I guess I had some deja vu as well.”.

Well, you know I just had to play the lottery! I played the pick four the next morning and you know what happened? We won. The winning numbers were 3305. I had four tickets and won a grand total of 5,400.

I was happy but had a feeling that there was more to this experience.

I asked Brian for his and his wife’s address so I could give them $330.50. Get it? 3305. Brian was like, who are these fabulous people! The moment I left the envelope on their front porch is the moment I felt the excitement of winning.

The rest of our winnings went toward our family trip to Alaska. The money went towards our helicopter ride to the glacier and the chartered fishing trip the boys went on. The money is long gone but this feel good story will last a lifetime.
